Object Description
An impressive, fine quality double row of opera length cultured Akoya Japanese pearls, on Victorian old cut diamond clasp.
The clasp set with old cut diamonds in silver settings backed with gold, the principal two diamonds of 0.40 carats each with a further old cut diamonds making a combined cweight of 1.40 carats. Diamonds H/I colour Si1-I1.
The pearls graduated from 6mm up to 8.5mm, well matched,cream/pink with good lustre and minor blemishes.
Currently strung so that the clasp sits on the left side of the wearer.
Clasp dated from 1880’s later matched with pearls in 1950’s.
Shortest row is 80cm long including the clasp.
