Mr David Horton
London
Horton has been established for over 45 years, specialising in fine jewellery and British and international art from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. The collection includes paintings and sculptures by distinguished artists, alongside works of notable academic interest.
Our carefully curated and often eclectic selection appeals to a wide range of clients, including private collectors, dealers, and interior designers. Institutional clients include Tate Britain and the Victoria & Albert Museum.
The business is owned and managed by David Horton, who opened his first gallery in Surrey in 1978. A subsequent move to Kent in the mid-1980s was followed by the establishment of premises in Richmond, Surrey, just off The Green, where the business thrived for 25 years, focusing primarily on fine jewellery. During this period, Horton also maintained premises in Moorgate in the City of London and in Piccadilly Arcade.
David is a Fellow of the Gemmological Association of Great Britain and holds its Diamond Diploma. He has been a proud member of LAPADA for more than 25 years. In October 2025, David relocated from his Kensington premises to a new studio space in London SE21, which operates on an appointment-only basis.
Our jewellery range features antique diamond engagement rings, Victorian and Edwardian earrings and brooches, and a beautiful selection of Japanese Akoya pearls, available in multi-strands with diamond clasps.
Our fine art collection includes European works by Archipenko and Picasso, as well as Modern British art by William Gear, Douglas Swan, Nicola Hicks, and other esteemed artists.
